TOP 3 Reasons to Visit SpotOn Systems @ Esri 2011 User Conference

Over the years, I've been to a lot of tech conferences, some OK, some good, some fantastic.
If you've been to an Esri conference, you know that they tend towards the fantastic end of the spectrum.
As the high-tech "glue" that seamlessly binds Esri GIS to IBM Cognos business intelligence, it makes sense that SpotOn attend the upcoming Esri 2011 International User Conference in San Diego. And it likewise makes sense that we'll be in the IBM Booth at the conference.
So, what are the top 3 reasons to join us there? Well, that depends on whether you're currently an Esri GIS pro who doesn't really know much about BI, or a business intelligence professional who is just getting started with GIS.
Since it's an Esri conference, let's start with the former. If you're currently an Esri GIS manager, developer, or user:
- You'll learn about a fast, cost-effective way to deploy your current Esri GIS assets to a far broader audience than you ever thought possible. Your goedata has tons of great information that we can easily combine with IBM Cognos BI data, for unified spatial view of key business measures. Never mind a pop-up report or chart on the map, how about a dozen related business & financial report objects (charts, lists, crosstabs...) that update based on interactions with the map?
- You'll see firsthand how easy it is to connect BI and Esri data, and learn exactly how great a fit these two technologies are.
- If you're totally new to Business Intelligence, we'll tell you all about it. How it works, what the opportunities are, how Esri fits there.
And for business intelligence users at the conference, wanting to learn about GIS:
- You'll see a zero-coding, drag-and-drop solution that report authors can use to enhance BI reports with highly explorable enterprise maps. Not static out-of-the-box IBM Cognos maps. Forget about complex API coding with Google Maps and mashups. Instead you'll have enterprise-ready, interactive maps that zoom and pan to show performance clearly for any measure in any region or location, with drill to details, sophisticated spatial filtering, and more.
- You'll see a mapping solution that can save you time and money by leveraging all of the architectural values of IBM Cognos BI. No coding required for security, for GBI content management, for PDF rendering, and so on.
- You'll see a solution aimed squarely at bringing together two enterprise-class technologies from respective leaders in their domains: IBM Cognos BI, and Esri GIS. SpotOn Systems is the only ISV focused solely on the integration of these two technologies, and has garnered two awards from IBM for its integration technology.
Hope to see you all there!
