On Thursday, October 22, 2009, our very own Chris Ovens and Darren Nelson hosted a live webinar entitled "Introduction to Geographic Business Intelligence (GBI)".
The webinar shared insights into the benefits of integrating the power of geography and spatial analysis (e.g. ESRI GIS software) with the information foundation provided by the IBM Cognos BI solution. Specifically, Chris and Darren identified and provided examples of the four perspectives of Geographic Business Intelligence:
- Map-enabled reporting
- Spatial analysis on Business Intelligence (BI) data
- Geographic data enrichment
- BI on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) assets
