Job Description
This client-facing position is focused on the development of solutions that integrate IBM Cognos BI with external applications and environments. You will have a significant role in developing, deploying, and using custom-built Cognos SDK applications. You will have ownership over specific SpotOn technologies and will perform client engagements utilizing these tools. Work will primarily be project based and travel to client sites will often be required.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to analyze and document their business requirements including use cases.
- Develop, QC, and implement IBM Cognos SDK solutions in line with clients defined business requirements.
- Analyse customer BI security authentication models and conduct namespace migrations.
- Carry out verification, validation and assurance activities at various stages of the developments and review functional requirements to assess their impact on the core products and applications and formulate test cases.
- Provide post implementation support for clients during the user acceptance testing.
- Act as technical lead on projects providing the project manager with detailed tasking and estimations.
Skills/Knowledge
- University Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Sciences.
- Experience developing in Java/Servlets/J2EE (essential)
- Client-facing: aptitude/experience working directly with clients at all stages of developments (essential)
